Both Lily and her clone establish that they have no way to distinguish who is the original and who is the clone. In an all bluish white and grey minimalist room a robot machine explains how their new life will go. They will live in the same studio styled home and work jobs of their choosing. The most important step of the cloning that they need to complete each day is called The Sync. Because they are far removed from the cloned society the robot explains to them the beta software they will use to sync has to be done manually instead of automatically. Ethan is given the same explanation. Both have the characterization of being tired and heartbroken. They are eager to lose their identity and assimilate in the cloned society.

The World they live in is seperated by two Races. The original Human Race and the Cloned race varying from 100 different clones who had been selected for their brain before the Big banishing genocide to wipe away the useless working class and humans under the age of 8.This society is 250 decades in. The one perecent who are humans of natural inseminated birth are regarded as the Master race and Gods. While clones engage in meaningless lives geared towards Task driven lifes. Individuality and the standard family trope are non existent in this Society if you are not a part of the the original human race called Melondias.

Plot Point: The Ending / Act 3

---------------------- The final act is held in a court room where Melondrias gather to see the verdict of the remaining couple. It is revealed that both Lilys and both Ethans were clones. It is revealed that the ancestors of the 100 people originally selected for the clone process where not victims of the genocide but perptutors. Both melondrians and clonedians hail from the3 same common ancestor, the only difference is melondrias got to be born, reproduce and die while living the human experience and clonedians stayed the same with their flawless genetic code. While both hailing from the superior dna, Lily and Ethan committed a grave sin which was kidnapping and housing a clonedian child to cope with their unborn child. The child who was 8 developed a dangerous awareness of self. The nameless child took to the streets and injured many melondrians as a form of justice to her race, not accepting or embracing the melondrians way of life. The child was quickly killed. Coincidently the fact that the child expressed such emotions made the melondrians aware of the threat and the need for separation and faux nonduality. The court reveals to Lily and Ethan, original Lily and Ethan defeated by yet another family failure were offered to die in exchange for their clonededian child to exist once more. They were killed by lethal injection with memories removed and when cloned they did not mention the child or the events but only the connection to one another. The cloned child who had been cloned a day before them was in the melondria city and witnesses the trial. After the court decided that their existence is cannot be rehabilitated they are sentenced to death too. The robot and there repair team reset the clonedians via bluetooth. Society seemingly has went back to normal. The ending scene is Ethan and lily’s clonedian child syncing her pain and memories of her parents to the rest of the clonedians with the beta unfixed sync machine. It is implied that it is SOOOO OVER for the melondrians.

    Reflection
    10-13-26

Writing this plot was nice. I got to explore my creative side while also getting help and ideas from my team members that tied the plot all together. Multiple times I questioned how I would make my statement in this plot while also following the structure of its genre. The message was difficult to recreate in a story form in such a short amount of time. At the beginning (no pun intended) I had pictured a totally different direction with the script but as I began to think of the core concept of cloned consciousness and the privilege of having emotions and relationships i was reminded of the Book of Genesis from the christian bible. The biblical Adam and Eve inspired this story. Both christians and non christians find the story interesting. While some take it for face value others decode it as a metaphor. A particular perspective of the Adam and Eve story plays with the philosophical idea of free will, infinity and the definition of what is God and how can man exist? I took the concept that God was everyone/thing in the forest. Everything that was bound to happen did happen, even the banishment from heaven. God asked Adam and Eve “who told you that you were naked?” and many believe that awareness gained that separated them was a decision in and of itself. I wanted to take this concept and reverse it and apply it to a society where technology is advanced, and variety aims to be killed; however in a perfect world the littlest bit of awareness can destroy heaven. Towards the end I struggled with wrapping this plot up because I myself have not figured out a stance on whether this society is bad or not. The twist was going to be that they were all clones the whole time but i wasnt sure if i wanted to kill off the originals or have them be the people who implemented their awareness of suffering. I decided to combine both. Overall it was a fun plot to write and think of but definitely would need polishing if it were to be a real script.
